The “Hakata Gion Yamakasa” is an annual festival held from July 1st to 15th, where elaborately decorated floats, some reaching about 15 meters in height, add color and spectacle to the streets of Hakata. From the 10th, seven teams carrying these floats race through the city, culminating in the dramatic “Oiyama” finale in the early morning of the 15th. In 2016, the Hakata Gion Yamakasa was added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list, gaining global recognition.
From July 10th to around the 14th, you can witness the exciting spectacle of these floats being paraded right in front of WeBase HAKATA and around the Doi Street area.

『博多祇園山笠』は毎年7月1日～15日に開催され、高さ約15ｍからなる豪華絢爛な飾り山が博多を彩り、
10日からは7つの流れの舁き山笠たちが博多の街を疾走し、15日早朝には追い山笠でフィナーレを飾ります。
2016年には、ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも登録された『博多祇園山笠』。
世界にも注目されたお祭りとなっています。
7月10日～14日前後は、WeBase 博多の前の土居通りやその周辺を舁き回る姿も見学できます。
