樹齢千年以上とされる大きな銀杏「櫛田のぎなん」の長寿を願う神事

毎年春に行われている「ぎなん祭」は、櫛田神社の御神木であるイチョウの大木「櫛田のぎなん」を祀り不老長寿を祈願する、昭和４６年から続く恒例の神事です。

樹齢１０００年超えと言われているぎなんの周囲に、肥料として成長を促すおからを参列者全員で撒き、博多祝い唄を歌って締めます。
県の天然記念物にも指定されている長寿延命のシンボルとして、末長く生き続けるよう是非ご参拝ください。

Kushida Shrine Ginan Festival

A ritual to pray for the longevity of “Kushida’s Ginan,” a large gingko tree said to be over 1,000 years old.

The Ginan Festival, held every spring, is an annual ritual that has been held since 1971 to worship and pray for the longevity of “Kushida’s Ginan,” a large ginkgo tree that is the sacred tree of Kushida Shrine.

All attendees sprinkle okara, which promotes growth as fertilizer, around the ginkgo tree, which is said to be over 1,000 years old, and the ceremony concludes with the singing of a Hakata celebration song.
Please visit the shrine to pray for the longevity of this symbol of longevity, which is also designated as a natural monument by the prefecture.
