🍁【筥崎宮 放生会（ほうじょうや）】

春の博多どんたく、夏の博多祇園山笠と並び、博多三大祭りのひとつに数えられるのが
**筥崎宮 放生会**です。

放生会は、「万物の生命をいつくしみ、殺生を戒め、秋の実りに感謝する」お祭り。

その起源は、「合戦の間多く殺生す。よろしく放生会を修すべし」という御神託によるものとされ、
千年以上続く大切な神事として受け継がれてきました。

🎎 九州随一の秋祭り

放生会は、九州を代表する秋祭りとしても知られています。

・一年おきに、福岡市無形民俗文化財に指定されている御神幸（御神輿行列）を実施
・7日間の期間中、参道には数百軒の露店が立ち並び、にぎやかな雰囲気に包まれます

昼夜を問わず、多くの参拝客でにぎわう、博多の秋の風物詩です。

🍁 Hakozakigu Hojoya – One of Hakata’s Three Major Festivals

Alongside Hakata Dontaku in spring and Hakata Gion Yamakasa in summer,
Hakozakigu Hojoya is counted as one of the three great festivals of Hakata.

This autumn festival is dedicated to “respecting all life, refraining from killing, and giving thanks for the harvest.”

Its origin is based on a sacred oracle advising that Hojoya should be observed to atone for the taking of life during times of war.
The ritual has continued for more than 1,000 years, making it one of the most important traditional ceremonies in the region.

During the seven-day festival, hundreds of food stalls line the approach to Hakozaki Shrine, creating a lively and festive atmosphere.
Every other year, a sacred portable shrine procession designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset by Fukuoka City is also held.
