Hakata Gion Yamakasa　博多祇園山笠

Hello! I am new staff Naoko.
I will be WeBase Hakata for one month.
I am from Tokushima, so many things at Hakata is exciting for me!

For the lucky, July is the exactly the moment of Yamakasa festival.
Some street float decoration (kazari yamakasa) close by WeBase.
(you can find light-up one at night)

You might see the man who where traditional festival uniform.
Hakata is most exciting town during 1st – 15th July

This Yamakasa festival has been continued 777 years! (Such a lucky number isn’t it??)
This Hakata Yamakasa festival is recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage.
There will be many tourist not only foreign country but domestic tourist.
