The Guardian of Hopeful Journeys, “SHIP’S CAT,” and the Traveling Photo Contest
WeBase operates accommodation facilities in Japan. Approximately eight years after starting the business, WeBase has 5 locations nationwide, and in each location stands a giant cat statue called “SHIP’S CAT”, public art created by one of Japan’s leading contemporary artists, Mr. Yanobe .
We have continued to evolve together with “SHIP’S CAT.”
As Mr. Yanobe says, “Life is like a journey.” Given that we live in a world where the future is difficult to predict, we are excited to launch the “SHIP’S CAT” online photo contest, inviting people to come together and envision a bright, hopeful future. The theme of the photo contest is “Hope”. As a token of our gratitude, WeBase will present the winners with a unique “trip” that only WeBase can offer.
