WeBase HAKATA is pleased to announce the “TRIP Exhibition: Traveling Arts,” an art exhibition showcasing the works of six artists based in Fukuoka. Enjoy the diverse and unique artistic expressions that transcend genre and generation.

Featured Artists (Period A)
ayui – Based in Fukuoka, originally from Aichi. Began sharing digital illustrations through “Shop♡Ayui” on Instagram in 2021 and later expanded into acrylic paintings. Actively participates in group and solo exhibitions.

Emerging Art – Three young painters supported by the Emerging Art initiative:

Mana Fujita — Expresses transformed imagery through dialogue via “listening to poetry”

KUMI — Creates colorful, nursery-book-like warm worlds

Yasagu-reya — Shares the absurd that makes you laugh through diverse expressive methods

Moss Moon Studio – A studio run by Kaori Hamura Long and Bill Long, producing art and animation with themes of peace and the environment. They have worked on character design for MTV and Nickelodeon and received a Silver Award from the Society of Illustrators for their animated programs.

IROKA – Fukuoka-based artist with exhibitions in about 20 countries. Known for delicate brush-pen line art and poetic color use that captures moving moments, expanded into art goods, and recognized in “50 Artists to Discover” and the “Most Investable Artist Directory.”

shoji – Photographer based in Fukuoka, whose unique style using film photography and washi (traditional Japanese paper) captures nature and human life across Japan, communicating the emotional and traditional textures of Japan globally.

Lydia – An artist who has lived in many countries since childhood, began drawing at age 11. Painting has been a way to escape negativity, depicting mystical, magical, and beautiful things she sees; hopes her art offers solace to viewers.
